Helke Misselwitz’s ‘After Winter Comes Spring’ explores the exemplary formulations of the hope of a political, economic and above all artistic opening in East Germany in the backdrop of Berlin Wall. ‘Girls in Wittstock’ by Volker Koepp tells the story of women and girls about their work in the textile industry, their spare-time occupations, about their thoughts and feelings. Frans Buyens’ ‘Deutschland – Endstation Ost’ reveals the story behind the construction of Berlin Wall and consequences.
The movie ‘The Architects’ directed by Peter Kahane ‘The escape’ by Hajo Baumgärtne. ‘The Legend of Paul and directed by Heiner Carow. ‘The Sons of Great Bear’ directed by Josef Mach ‘Traces of Stones’ by Frank Beyer are the other films in the category.
